Violet Frances Glomb Shedlock, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away April 5, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family.

The daughter of George and Emma Heinz Glomb, Violet was born February 14, 1927 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. A homemaker, she was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and the Greenwood Moose Lodge.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7 p.m. April 9, 2012 in Hendryx Mortuary, Cumberland Chapel – 11636 East Washington Street, where friends may call from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. A private family inurnment was held at Washington Park East Cemetery.

Survivors: husband, Robert A. Shedlock; sons and daughters in law, Rick and Karen Shedlock and Rev. Glen and Missy Shedlock; grandchildren, Laura, Kayla and Sarah Shedlock, Cody and Austin Myers, Darian Bobish, Rustena Waldroup and Renee Wheelden; sister, Mar. Besides her parents, Violet was preceded in death by brother, Joe and sisters, Dorothy, Josephine & Isabelle.

Special thanks to Community Hospice nurses, Robbin and Pam and Home Health aide, Cheryl. Also, thanks to American Home Health for providing extra care and support.
